Personal Observation Deck
~Been online for several years now, and still just learning my way around, but have heard the term “troll” used a lot. Just recently thought I’d look it up on Wikipedia for a brief defintion...”In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.”
What kind of person would purposely aim towards this goal?! I guess I had an idea it was something like this, but when seeing it spelled out like this-just confounded the daylights out of me! Can you imagine what these people are like in real life?! (*shudders*)

In Music Notes…Today would have been Freddie Prinze’s B-Day
freddieprinze**Freddie Prinze (June 22, 1954 – January 29, 1977) was an American actor and stand-up comedian, born in NY, NY. He was best known as the star of “Chico and the Man”, phrases like “looking good”, and humor of his mixed heritage of Hungaria and Puerto Rico. (Can still see him doing the bobbing-head dog in the back window of the car.) Was the first comic to be invited to sit next to Johnny Carson on his first appearance. He is the father of actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. Died in LA at the age of 22-very sad.

~”Howard Kaylan (born Howard Kaplan, 22 June 1947, New York) is an American rock and roll musician, best known as a founding member and lead singer of the 1960s band, The Turtles, and “Eddie” of 1970’s rock band Flo & Eddie
Kaylan and Mark Volman founded The Turtles, a popular band of the late 1960s. At the end of 1970, Kaylan and Volman signed on as members of Frank Zappa’s band, The Mothers of Invention. Five albums and the film, 200 Motels came from that partnership, as did the stage names “Flo & Eddie”. The duo were not allowed legal use of their own names until multiple Turtle lawsuits were settled.
~In 1985, the old lawsuits were finally settled and the name, “The Turtles” reverted to Kaylan and his partner after fifteen years in litigation, as well as all of the master recordings they made. Thanks to Burger King, the NFL, Sony Playstation, and countless other television advertisements and motion pictures, the Turtles’ catalog remains a staple for licensing and reproduction in the twenty-first century.”floandeddie

  1. Troll people in real life are probably those kind that are rude, arrogant, obnoxious pigs. The sort that are rude or abusive to people for no valid reason other than they seem so like being total jerks. The sort that will go around trying to pick arguments or fights just for the sake of it.
You know the sort I mean, here in Tasmania we call them Politicians….

  2. I went to the Fad website to see what a Koosh Ball was & it gave no explanation, never heard of it before

    • Hi Tony~Lovin’ your posts! It’s comforting (in a strange way) to know that there are idiot drivers all over the world. Buffalo is the same way, esp in the winter. But surely I digress (and no, I didn’t call you ‘Shirley’), try this link on Koosh balls…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koosh_Ball
Thanks for coming by…I never miss an entry from Tazmania…always entertaining!
